Everton Football Club

Everton is one of the oldest and most famous football clubs in the world. Founded in 1878 and becoming one of the founder members of the football league in 1888, the Liverpool-based club has won the English league title nine times during its long history, along with five FA Cup triumphs and success in the European Cup Winners Cup in 1985.

The club has had many great players including former striker Gary Lineker, World Cup winner Allan Ball and one of the greatest forwards in footbal history - Dixie Dean. Everton Football Club operates an extensive and highly successful Youth Academy. Players such as Jack Rodwell, Tony Hibbert, Francis Jeffers, Wayne Rooney, Leon Osman, James Vaughan and Victor Anichebe have graduated through the Academy system.
