Our Vision

Inter CT’s vision is to use the sport of soccer as a vehicle to help young athletes become excellent individuals. Using our core values we hope to inspire a passion for the game and a drive to succeed, both in soccer and beyond.

Our Mission

Using our developmentally appropriate, fun and competitive environment we make it our mission to create well rounded, excellent individuals, as well as quality soccer players. We aim to implement a specific style of play that represents our identity as a club. We encourage our coaches at every level to use their knowledge and experience to instruct, educate, and inspire our players.

We are passionate about age-appropriate development and have broken it down into three categories.

A- Love of the game:  Creating a passion for soccer

B- Love of development:  Inspiring our athletes to improve everyday

C- Love of the challenge:  Creating an environment where difficult challenges are seen as something to overcome, not runaway from.

We will also provide steps to success. This continuous feedback will ensure each player knows exactly how they can get better.

Much of what made Everton America CT a healthy, successful and stable club will remain the same with INTER CONNECTICUT FC. The relationship with Everton Football Club of the Premier League was beneficial to both parties over the years. We will use this name change to develop our own specific team culture, club philosophy, and style of play which is relevant to soccer environment in which we are located.

Our goal has always been and will continue to be the consistency of staff. All full-time members of staff will continue to be part of the program and improve the player pathway.

Yes for the younger ages. We will maintain our training and games at All Saints. Our High School age teams will still practice there from time to time but we will also continue to practice off-site.

There are many small and major changes that will make Inter CT a fantastic player and parent experience - see here for continuing updates.

As per our Inter CT story, Inter is short for International.... respecting the heritage of the founder club and it's staff and reflecting the global game which is soccer.  Find out more about the Inter story here. Inter is now used by clubs around the world, much the same way that United was in soccer's early naming. We are not affiliated with Inter Milan.

Everton America is pleased to announce the promotions of Leon Othen and Marty Walker. Leon and Marty will take over the daily management of the club operations at all levels with immediate effect.

Leon Othen is the club's longest-serving staff member and has been involved with all the inner workings of the club for the past 8 years. He has also been a distinguished High School and Collegiate coach as well as being a highly regarded Goalkeeper coach in the state. Leon says; “I am proud to be able to help our current players, and new ones, to enjoy the game and progress on their soccer journeys at an even greater level. I’m passionate about the learning process and I’m looking forward to making decisions that will improve player and parent education”.

Marty Walker has served as the High School Boys Director of Coaching since 2015 and has helped develop our players into collegiate level student-athletes. He himself has been a collegiate coach for 8 years at some great institutions and also works with athletes as a Sports Psychologist. "Together with Leon, I am excited to take over the running of our great club. We have already identified key areas of growth and improvement. We are keen to make an immediate impact on several aspects of the club. We also promise to improve our club culture, identity, philosophy, and style of play so that our player pathway rivals any in the country." says Walker.

With tryout season around the corner, both Othen & Walker will continue to be on the field and are keen to stress the importance of continuity that the club has staffing wise. Both will work with the current staff including Director of Coaching, Tom Robinson and Managing Director Jim McElderry, who will continue to be involved with facilities, rentals, and long term club decisions.
