TRAINING CHAMPIONS THE RIGHT WAY -THE EVERTON WAY

The Everton Way is known in soccer circles for having turned more young players into professional league first-team players (24) than just about any other system in the world. Five players were just 16 years old when they made it to the top level of the EPL!  Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney was one of them along with Everton striker James Vaughan, the youngest player ever to score an EPL goal. With this kind of consistent success, you might want to pay very close attention to The Everton Way!

LABOR DAY TOURNAMENT NEWS

Congratulations are in order to a number of our teams over this past Labor Day weekend.  The Everton America U13 boys (pictured) were victorious in The East Brunswick Labor Day Tournament.  In four games the boys were unbeaten, scoring twelve goals. 

In the same tournament The Everton America U12's also performed very well to reach the final of the elite bracket.  After being unbeaten in the group stages scoring nine goals they were eventually edged in the final by a score of 1-0. Special mention to The U11 boys and U12 boys white team on their semi final appearances at Farmington and East Brunswick respectively.

WELCOME TO EVERTON AMERICA
 

Everton America CT and it's coaches are excited about the 2010-11 season. Premier Director Alex Cunliffe and Academy Director Rich Williams, along with Senior Staff Coach Russ Stirling, look forward to continuing the development of both our club and our players into the new season and beyond from our facility here in Norwalk, CT.  The club are committed to the proven teaching methods of "The Everton Way" and are excited about continuing our strong relationship with Everton FC of the English Premier League. This was further cemented when thirty of our players (and staff) were put through their paces by the Everton coaches at their state of the art training ground In Liverpool, UK in July 2010. Alongside this International visit our dedication to "The Everton Way" will provide our members with the following:

  • Longstanding affiliation with Premier League side Everton Football Club (home of the USA's star Tim Howard).
     
  • Day to day access to the most succesful youth training curriculum in the world "The Everton Way" (producing players such as England's and Manchester United's talisman Wayne Rooney and England U21 starlet Jack Rodwell).
     
  • A dedicated and passionate full time coaching staff which includes ex professional and semi professional players, High School and Division 1 College Head Coaches, as well as ODP regional staff.
     
  • Specialized Goalkeeper training.
     
  • Year round access to our own private facility in Norwalk, CT, including three full size outdoor grass fields, 6 mini fields and a 6v6 indoor futsal court.
     
  • Opportunities for individual players to train and compete with the acclaimed Everton FC Academy players in England.
     
  • Teams will compete in local, state, regional and college level tournaments year round to provide the very best competition and challenge to our players.
     
  • College showcase opportunities and college level coaching throughout the year for those players aiming to play at the College level.

THE EVERTON ACADEMY

The Everton Academy

THIS PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO WORK WITH TRAVEL SOCCER CLUBS

Our mission is to use the Everton Way training curriculum from the legendary English Premier League club Everton FC to provide the highest quality soccer programs for players and families of Everton teams and for players and families of our neighboring soccer clubs.

The Everton Academy is a year long program that meets for 50 training sessions, outdoor training twice a week in the fall and spring seasons and the Winter program trains once a week indoors.

The Junior Academy (U6-U8) is a seasonal program that meets for 30 training sessions, outdoor training once a week in the fall and spring seasons and the winter program trains once a week indoors.

1) Everton Academy Teams U9-U11
Friday: 4:00-5:30 PM Saturday: 9:00-10:30 AM (Fall and Spring - once a weekend in winter)

Boys and Girls U9, U10 and U11 Academy teams are formed based on summer tryouts, invitation and/or coach approval. Each team works with a coach handpicked to provide the necessary age appropriate training via "The Everton Way" training curriculum.

Includes:  Everton Kit - jersey, shorts, socks team bag and ball, 50 training sessions.

2) The Training Center U9-U11
Friday: 4:00-5:30 PM and Saturday: 9:00-10:30 AM (Fall and Spring - once a weekend in winter)

The Training Center for Boys and Girls U9, U10 and U11 is a year long program for players that are potential full Academy players, but need a highly focused technical training program to get them to the Academy level.  Same location, time, dates as The Academy.

Includes:  Everton Kit - jersey, shorts, socks, team bag and ball, 50 training sessions.
 
3) The Junior Academy U6 and U8
Friday: 4:00-5:30 PM (Fall and Spring - once a weekend in winter)

The Junior Academy focuses on fundamental training techniques; using the correct surfaces to dribble/pass and shoot and basic moves.  Half the session is dedicated to small sided 3v3 or 4v4 games.

Includes: Everton kit - jersey, shorts, socks and ball.

Tuition:  $250 per season.

Please note: All sessions take place at 139 West Rocks Road, Norwalk, CT.
